Part of the fun of a family reunion is knowing which people belong together. Learn how our Creative Solutions team helped one local family organize themselves with printed t-shirts at a recent family celebration.
The Dilemma
Rick and Rita were preparing to celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Daughter Emilie took on the task of figuring out how to organize the 160 people that make up their extended family. In order to help everyone quickly recognize the three sibling family lines, Emilie decided to dress each family group in colored-coded t-shirts and ball caps.To turn the apparel from ordinary to keepsake, Emilie designed an anniversary party logo to print on each t-shirt and cap She reached out to Evolution creative solutions for help with garment selection and apparel printing.
Evolution’s Creative Solution
Evolution creative solutions has working relationships with several apparel vendors, giving us access to multiple brands, colors, materials, and sizes. The family needed a variety of adult and youth t-shirt sizes and hats. Once Emilie provided the colors she needed – mint, yellow, and pink – we narrowed the vendor options accordingly and provided Emilie with sample shirts. The ball caps would be white. Before purchasing anything family members were able to feel the softness of the cloth as well as determine correct sizing. The last step was printing the logo Emilie had designed in the online graphic design platform Canva. Canva allows makers to create professionally print-ready files that include the necessary crop and bleed lines. When the t-shirts and caps arrived we printed the logo directly to the garment and Emilie drove it all to the reunion.
The family wedding anniversary was a colorful celebration of love!
