The Business Problem
North Carolina MedAssist provides access to prescription and over-the-counter medications to eligible recipients across the state. It is the only state-wide non-profit pharmacy in NC. Like most non-profits they share the impact of their work by publishing an annual report.
They designed their 2023 Annual Report as an 8-page book in landscape / horizontal format but they were unable to find a local printer with the right capabilities for the job. Printing horizontal design requires a print press large enough to accommodate landscape formats. They wanted to keep costs at a minimum but the publication deadline was coming up. They needed a print partner with the capabilities to handle the printing and binding.
Evolution’s Creative Solution
The project lead from NC MedAssist remembered working with Evolution creative solutions when she was in Ohio. She reached out to see if Evolution could manage the out-of-state project cost efficiently. First, the Customer Solutions Team confirmed that Evolution could manage a landscape print. They recommended off-set printing and saddle stitch binding. While Evolution could manage mailing the report to individual donors and stakeholders, NC MedAssist requested shipping all the booklets to their office. Even after adding in shipping all 300 booklets to NC the project came in at budget.
