The Business Challenges
Bank employees at Fifth Third bank celebrate May 3 by volunteering and donating to fight food insecurity in their communities.* They engage customers through fundraising. To promote and support the event in 2024, Fifth Third wanted to print door signs as well as thank you notes that could be posted at each branch. The thank you notes were specific to employees or customers, allowing both groups to be publicly acknowledged and personally appreciated for their support of Fifth Third Day.
Both the door signs and the cards were shaped to match the bank’s logo. The bank’s branding guidelines cite a very specific shade of blue. Fifth Third needed a printer who could replicate that color so all marketing materials printed for Fifth Third Day matched at all branches across the 11 states where Fifth Third exists. The printer also needed trim capabilities.
Last, the bank needed the printer to kit the door signs and thank you cards into bundles that would be delivered to their distribution center and then shipped to all the branches.
The printing, kitting, and delivery to the distribution center needed to be completed in time for the packages to arrive at the branches prior to May 3.
Fifth Third put out a bid, and Evolution creative solutions won the project.

Evolution’s Creative Solutions
Our Customer Solutions Team managed the project with the meticulous detail it demanded. First, the team scheduled a press check for color confirmation. A Fifth Third employee was invited to Evolution to inspect test prints, confirm the exact color and provide approval on the spot. Having the Fifth Third employee on site saved time and created efficiency for the team to immediately begin printing and cutting.
The team automated the process of shrink wrapping the cards into bundles. Then the shrink wrapped bundles were packed into boxes by hand. Evolution employees tracked the counts of door signs and cards packed into each box to ensure each location received the correct amount. After inserting the memo of directions, each box was sealed and marked with the identification number associated with that branch. The distribution center then shipped the boxes according to the branch identification number.
The efforts of the Customer Solutions Team earned them compliments for their attention to detail and customer service.
