The Business Challenges
Givaudan is a global company creating fragrances and flavors for a variety of products. For an upcoming sales force event, Givaudan wanted pocket folders that could display business cards. The brand is built on beauty, nature, and enjoyment for life. The design, shape, and feel of the folder had to embody that directive. Ordinary pocket folders wouldn’t do. Givaudan turned to Evolution creative solutions to create a custom pocket folder that reflected their impeccable brand identity.
Evolution’s Creative Solution
Our Creative Solutions team worked with the client to understand how Givaudan branding would be used to create the folder. The client wanted the folder to be one full bleed image, meaning that one image would cover the front, back, and inside pockets. Givaudan provided the art file using a lovely color photo. The image was enlarged in order to layout and cut one folder. To create consistently vivid colors on the entire folder we recommended offset printing on glossy 100 lb. cover paper. Custom pocket shapes cut to match the curve of the “G” in their corporate name subtly communicated the brand. Custom cut curved slits for holding business cards in each pocket face was the final detail bringing the Givaudan brand to life.
The result was a practical pocket folder with long lasting brand impact.
