[Cincinnati, OH] Evolution creative solutions recently earned multiple prestigious industry awards in the 2023 Print Excellence Awards from Graphic Media Alliance. Six of their print projects earned gold, silver, or bronze in this annual competition that recognizes Ohio, Michigan and Northern Kentucky printers who have demonstrated printing excellence in a variety of categories.

2023 Award Winning Prints from Evolution creative solutions
The 100th year anniversary book for San Antonio Italian Chapel in Cincinnati, OH earned gold. This perfect bound book impressed with a full-color, full-bleed cover photo of a painting of the church.
The children’s book Jayden & the 3 Robots: A boy’s very special journey to learn about the LVAD printed for The Christ Hospital™ Health Network, Cincinnati, OH earned silver. Sized for smaller hands, this softbound, staple stitched book impressed with its attention to detail.
The Theory of Action™ booklet for StriveTogether®, Cincinnati, OH, also won Silver. This step cut booklet impressed on construction and format.
A third sliver was earned for the Crisis Communications Toolkit booklet for UC Health® Cincinnati. This booklet uses landscape orientation and spot varnish color enhancement to stand out in an office while being easy to use during a crisis.
The 120th anniversary special event invitation for The Christ College™ of Nursing and Health Sciences, Cincinnati, OH earned bronze. This square design utilized pearlescent paper and a customizable insert for a personalized invitation that made an impact upon delivery.
Bronze was also earned for the Theory of Action folder for StriveTogether. This branded pocket folder utilized off-set printing on silk endurance cover for a highly professional impact.

According to Graphic Media Alliance, both the number of entries and member participation have increased by over 50% from 2022 setting a record for the number of pieces entered.
Submissions were reviewed by two judges on the following qualities.
- Register, clarity, and neatness of impressions
- Sharpness of halftones and line drawings
- Definition in material requiring detail
- Attention to symmetry of margins and columns
- Richness and tonal qualities of color
- Effective contrast or softness as required by design or purpose of piece
- Quality of binding, stitching, punching, die-cutting, inserting, and folding
- Unusual spacing, size,shape
- Construction and format
- Clarity and readability
- Effective execution of color
- Overall visual impact
All of the Gold award winners in the regional competition are entered in an association-wide competition for Best of Category and Best of Show prizes that will be awarded in September at the 2023 Grand Ceremony sponsored by Millcraft.
